LAKOTA — Harold G. Ubben passed away Thursday, Oct. 17, 2019, at the age of 95. A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 21, at Ramsey Reformed Church, rural Titonka. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be 4-6 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 20, at Oakcrest Funeral Services of Titonka, and one hour prior to the service Monday at the church.

Harold Garry Ubben was born March 15, 1924, near Lakota, Iowa, the son of Fred and Hattie (Beenken) Ubben. Harold graduated from Lakota High School in 1941.

He farmed the family farm until he retired and his son took over the farming operation. Harold married Anita (Bell) Ubben on Nov. 30, 1956, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Blue Earth, Minn.

He was a lifelong member of the Ramsey Reformed Church. He served as a Sunday School teacher and was on the church board.

Harold enjoyed traveling and camping with Anita, watching the Minnesota Twins and being with his family.

He moved to the Titonka Care Center in 2014.

He is survived by four children, Wanda (Keith) Goetz of Lakota, Fred Ubben of Lakota, Roger (Renee) Ubben of Iowa Falls, and Ronald Ubben of Lakota; four grandchildren, Erin (Barr) Schroeder of Algona, Kelly (Ryan) Steenhard of Buffalo Center, Chelsey (Zach) Schmidt of Los Angeles, Calif., and Hunter Ubben of Iowa Falls; one great-grandchild, Harrison Schroeder; and sister-in-law, Evelyn Bell of Blue Earth, Minn.

Harold was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Anita in 2015; three brothers-in-law, Marvin (Myrl) Bell, Homer Bell, and Gene (Lois) Bell; an infant brother; and infant sister.
