FAIRMONT — Funeral Mass for Mary K. Kelly, 75, of Fairmont, Minn., will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 12, 2019, at St. John Vianney Catholic Church in Fairmont, with interment in Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Fairmont.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church Saturday.

Mary passed away on Monday morning, Oct. 7, 2019, at her home in Fairmont surrounded by her family, after a long battle with breast cancer.

Lakeview Funeral Home in Fairmont is assisting the family with arrangements.

Mary Kay Kelly was born on May 9, 1944, in Fairmont, Minn. She was the daughter of Robert and Mary (McNerney) Kelly. She received her education in Fairmont and graduated from Fairmont High School. After high school, Mary studied as an X-ray Technician at the Fairmont Hospital. She later moved to Northfield, Minn., where she worked as an X-ray Technician.

She returned to Fairmont after her retirement in 2012.

Mary’s love and devotion to her many cats was a great joy and comfort to her. The family would like to thank the staff at Mayo Clinic Oncology and Infusion Center, the UHD Hospice staff, especially Lindsey, Summer and Ruby. They’d also like to send a very special “thank you” to Ken and Ellen Washa and family for being the best friends and neighbors anyone could ever have.

Those left to cherish her memory include her brother, Jim Kelly of Eagan, Minn.; sister-in-law, Cheryle Kelly (Foster) of Winnebago, Minn.; nieces and nephews, Lynne (Tim) McDermott, Mike (Cheryl) Kelly, Laura (Jeff Narveson) Kelly, Dave (Patty) Kelly, Kathy (Terry) Droubie, Ryan Kelly, and Chad (Holly Holmbo) Kelly; many grand nieces, grand nephews, cousins and friends.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Robert T. and Mary F. Kelly; and brother, Collin “Pat” Kelly.
