MOUNTAIN LAKE — A Celebration of Life service for James “Jim” L. Swanson, 80, of rural Mountain Lake will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Mountain Lake. Burial will be in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery, Kimball Township, rural Alpha.

Swanson died Tuesday afternoon, July 30, 2019, at Sunset Hospice Cottage in Worthington. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service Sunday at the church in Mountain Lake.

Kramer Family Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

James Leonard Swanson was born Jan. 27, 1939, in St. James to Godfried and Margaret (Hansen) Swanson.

Survivors include: his wife, Dianne Swanson of rural Mountain Lake; sons, Steve Swanson of New Hope, David Swanson of Fairfield, Iowa, Bruce Swanson of rural Mountain Lake; daughter, Jodi Bjerke of Rockford, Ill.; 15 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
