Jane passed away Tuesday morning, June 25, 2019, at her home in Fairmont. Lakeview Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Fairmont is assisting the family with arrangements.

Jane Louise Hartmann was born Nov. 28, 1950, in Fairmont, Minn., the daughter of Gerhardt “Steve” and Anita (Heidenreich) Hartmann. She was baptized and later confirmed at St. James Lutheran Church in Northrop, Minn. Jane lived with her family on a farm near Northrop before moving to Fairmont in her 20’s. She received her education while attending Truman Public Schools. Jane worked at MRCI in Fairmont. She was a member of “People First” in Fairmont as well as St. Paul Lutheran Church in Fairmont where she was active in the Eve Circle and Bible study. In her younger years, Jane enjoyed watching TV with her cat, playing softball, and taking trips. More recently, she really had a lot of fun bowling, dancing, working with ceramics, and sharing a laugh while teasing with her friends and family. Jane was an avid Twins and Vikings fan and could render severe tongue lashings when they didn’t do well. Left to cherish her memory include her brothers, Phillip (Pam) Hartmann of Fairmont, Minn., and Robert (Linda) Hartmann of Sioux Falls, S.D.; nieces and nephews, Gretchen Hartmann (Josh Johnson) of Sioux Falls, S.D., Jennifer (Mark) Maturi of Sioux Falls, Melissa (Cevin) Kinsey of Cedarburg, Wis., Jon (Lori) Hartmann of Granada, Minn., and Aaron (Penny) Hartmann of Granada, Minn.; many aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends including her special friend of many years, Dawn Doolittle. Jane was preceded in death by her parents, Steve and Anita Hartmann.
