TRUMAN — Paul “Cubby” E. Berhow, age 67, of Truman, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, June 1, 2019, at Mayo Clinic Health System in Fairmont. The family is planning a celebration of Paul’s life from 3-6 p.m. Saturday, June 8, 2019, at Paul’s shop at his home in Truman.

Paul Ernest Berhow was born Oct. 25, 1951, in Fairmont, Minn., to Arva Clement and Ardis Marie (Cassem) Berhow. He graduated from Fairmont High School and was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army.

He married Vickie Lee Kesler on Oct. 6, 1979, and to this union, two sons were born.

He most recently worked as the assistant plant manager for Prairieland Waste Management in Truman, retiring on Jan. 2, 2017.

Paul filled his retirement fishing and putzing in his shop including sweeping the floor multiple times a day, which drove Vickie crazy.

Paul will be remembered for always being willing to help friends and family. He absolutely adored his grandchildren. He was a car enthusiast and an avid Vikings fan.

Paul is survived by his wife, Vickie Berhow, of Truman; sons, Nate Berhow of Anchorage, Alaska, and Nick (Reanne) Berhow of Mankato; four grandchildren, Madison, Rheese, Rayland and Ryker; brother, Perry (Val) Berhow of Fairmont; other relatives and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Arva and Ardis Berhow; and sister, Patricia “Patsy” Berhow.
