Terry Hinz
CRYSTAL — Terry Hinz died Saturday, May 11, 2019, at St. Therese in New Hope, Minn., from complications of Parkinson’s and Crohn’s. He donated his body to the Anatomy Bequest Program at the University of MN Medical School. A memorial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s research.
He was born June 26, 1945, in Fairmont, Minn., to Art and Lydia Hinz. Terry graduated from Fairmont High School and was named all-state in football. He received his undergraduate degree from Augustana University in S.D. and his master’s from Stanford University. He then studied acting in London on a Fulbright scholarship. In addition to performances in England, Terry appeared on Broadway, off-Broadway, regional theaters, film, and TV. He is survived by his wife, Laura of Crystal, Minn.; sons, Conrad and his wife, Barb of Omaha, August and his wife, Kirsten and granddaughter Hannah of New Market, Md.; nephew, George and his wife, Lauren of the Maryland Eastern Shore; as well as other friends and family, especially Mary.
