ELMORE — Myrna Lee Krosch, age 82, passed away Monday night, May 13, 2019, at Goldfinch Estates Memory Care in Fairmont.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, May 17, at Shiloh Lutheran Church in Elmore, with Pastor Robert Roettger officiating. Interment will follow in Riverview Cemetery, Elmore.

Visitation will be 9:30-11 a.m. Friday at the church.

Myrna Viland was born April 30, 1937, to Orville and Flossie (King) Viland. She was raised near Pilot Grove, where she attended country school and later graduated from Elmore High School in 1955.

She married Marvin Krosch on June 14, 1956, at Shiloh Lutheran church parsonage in Elmore. They lived in rural Blue Earth before moving to the family farm in rural Elmore more than 50 years ago. Myrna worked at the Faribault County Courthouse, Enterline Chrysler dealership and later for St. Luke’s Lutheran Care Center, where she retired in 2003 after 25 years of service.

Myrna was active in Shiloh Lutheran church, Elmore Saddle Club and a 4-H leader with Pilot Grove 4-H Club, assisting their children with beef, swine and horse projects. She enjoyed watching her children and grandchildren grow and was very supportive of their many activities.

She and Marvin enjoyed going to their lake home at Nodak Lodge on Lake Winnebigoshish, fishing and relaxing with friends and family.

Myrna is survived by her children, Marlyn, (Jackie) of Custer, S.D., Michael (Sondra Goodrich) of Elmore, Melissa (Robert) Garry of Granada; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sisters Marilyn (John) Stewart, Sherry (Curtis) Simon; sisters and brothers-in-law, LaVonne Swearingen, Janet (Donnie) Richter, Joanne Fiser, Gwen (Beverly) Krosch, Bruce (Julie) Krosch, Kathy (Bob) Gaffney, Loree (Dean) Vereide; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Marvin; sister, Sandy Miller; in-laws, Berle, Paul, Phillip, Bryce, Glen, Brad, Darla and an infant boy; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
