MANKATO — Julaine Mallery, 71, of Old Main Village Mankato, died Monday, Oct. 15, 2018, at Mayo Clinic Health System in Mankato, with her sister Bev by her side. A commemoration service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 20, at Crystal Seasons Living Center in Lake Crystal, Minn., with visitation one hour prior to the service.

She was born July 20, 1947, in Watertown, S.D., to Sylvester and Mildred (Dorsett) Mallery. Julaine testified of her faith in the Lord Jesus Christ as a young girl at Huntley Baptist Church.

She retired from Telex in Blue Earth with 25 years of service in 1999.

Knitting and crocheting afghans, both baby and full-size, was an avid lifelong hobby.

Julaine is survived by her mother, Mildred Mallery of Lake Crystal; two sisters, Bev Johnson of Lake Crystal, Jan (Rich) Pettersen and extended family of Carmel, Ind.; and her friend, Mary Tunink of Fairmont, Minn.

She was preceded in death by her father, Sylvester in 1995.
