FAIRMONT — Funeral services for Connie Louise Miller, 60, of Fairmont, Minn., will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, June 28, 2018, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Fairmont. Burial will follow the service in Lakeside Cemetery, Fairmont.

Connie passed away Sunday morning, June 24, 2018, at Mayo Clinic Health System in Fairmont. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, June 27, 2018, at Lakeview Funeral Home in Fairmont, and one hour prior to services Thursday at the church.

Memorials are preferred to the American Cancer Society.

Lakeview Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Fairmont is assisting the family with arrangements.

Connie Louise Miller was born Feb. 11, 1958, in Lynch, Neb., to Edward and Leona (Papstein) Tunink. She attended school in Swea City, Iowa, and graduated in 1976.

On Aug. 7, 1982, Connie was united in marriage to Randy Miller in Fairmont, Minn. This marriage was blessed with two children, Paul and Melissa. After their marriage, they made their home in Fairmont.

Connie attended junior college in Fort Dodge, Iowa, and worked as a secretary at Fairmont High School for a short time before working at Norwest Ag Credit in Fairmont for several years. She then went to work for Compeer (Ag-Star) in Blue Earth as a financial officer where she worked for 18 years.

Connie was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Fairmont, where she was on the alter guild. She was also a member of Fairmont Women of Today and Martin County Genealogical Society. Connie loved genealogy and the family tree where she spent many hours on research and trips.

She loved gardening, going on family vacations and spending time with her family. Her greatest enjoyment was being a grandma.

She is survived by her loving husband, Randy Miller of Fairmont; two children, Paul (Jessica) Miller of Fairmont, and Melissa (Mike) Maurer of Sioux Falls, S.D.; one grandson, Aiden Maurer; sisters, Rose Aguayo, Norma Olson, Mary Tunink, Helen Reinsbach and Alice Zimmerman; mother-in-law, Mildred Miller; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Leona Tunink; and father-in-law, Laverne Miller.
