ALPHA — A Celebration of Life service for Joyce E. Halverson, 73, of Alpha, formerly of Mountain Lake, will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Alpha. Burial will be in Sherburn Cemetery, Sherburn.

Halverson died Tuesday morning, March 7, 2017, at Sanford Jackson Hospital in Jackson. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Alpha.

Kramer Family Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Joyce Elaine Freitag was born Feb. 12, 1944, in Mountain Lake, to Arnold and Laura (Jass) Freitag.

Survivors include: her husband, Ronald Halverson of Alpha; son, Melvin Halverson of Nevis, Minn.; daughters, Nazrin Riehboff of Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho, Meridee Kauffman of Alpha; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; brother, Virgil Freitag of Butterfield; sister, Shirley Berdan of Lafayette, Minn.; and sisters-in-law, Bernice Freitag of Mountain Lake and Mary Tweedt of Jackson.
