Paul W. Greischar
FAIRMONT – Services for Paul W. Greischar, 54, of Fairmont, will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 30, 2014, at Grace Lutheran Church in Fairmont. Burial will be held at a later date.
Paul passed away Thursday, June 26, 2014, at his home in Fairmont. Visitation will be 4-6 p.m. Sunday, June 29, 2014, at Lakeview Funeral Home in Fairmont and will continue one hour prior to services Monday at the church.
Lakeview Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Fairmont is assisting the family with arrangements.
Paul William Greischar was born Nov. 20, 1959, in Fairmont, Minn., the son of Gerald and Joyce (Dahl) Greischar. Paul attended school in Fairmont and graduated from Fairmont High School in 1978, and later attended Mankato State University to further his education.
In 1999, Paul was united in marriage to Kimberly Smith at their home in Fairmont, Minn. Paul worked construction for many years. He first started with his father, Gerald, and worked his way up to management. His travels took him all over the Midwest. In his spare time, Paul enjoyed hunting, fishing, snowmobiling and watching NASCAR. He treasured memories made during his many camping trips up North and was always up for a ride on his dirt bike. Paul loved animals and had a special place in his heart for his dog. He was an avid football fan and enjoyed cheering on the Minnesota Vikings, except when the 49ers were in town, when he would then cheer for his cousin, Craig Dahl, who plays for the 49ers and whom Paul was very proud of. Paul was a member of Grace Lutheran Church and Ducks Unlimited.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Kimberly Greischar of Fairmont, Minn.; father, Gerald Greischar of Fairmont, Minn.; brothers, Jeff (Sue) Greischar of Fairmont, Minn., and David (Chris) Greischar of Crosslake, Minn.; step-daughter, Lori Gormally and her fianc, Zach Hansen; granddaughter, Harper Hansen; father-in-law, Dennis (Sally) Smith of Fairmont, Minn.; mother-in-law, Judy (Randy) Corderman of Oak Harbor, Wash.; three brothers-in-law, Todd Smith of Swea City, Iowa, Chad Smith of Maine, and Malachi Smith of Fairmont, Minn.; sister-in-law, Donna Smith of Fairmont, Minn.; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Paul was preceded in death by his mother, Joyce Greischar and his grandparents.
