Terry L. Wickert
FAIRMONT – Mass of Christian Burial for Terry L. Wickert, 67, of Fairmont, Minn., will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 17, 2013, at St. John Vianney Catholic Church in Fairmont. Inurnment will be at a later date.
Terry passed away Monday morning, Oct. 14, 2013, at Mayo Clinic Health System-Fairmont. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church on Thursday.
Lakeview Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Fairmont is assisting the family with arrangements.
Terry Lee Wickert was born Aug. 11, 1946, in Estherville, Iowa, son of Joseph and Sarah (Johnson) Wickert. Terry received his education in Ceylon and later at Lincoln School in Fairmont. On Dec. 30, 1976, Terry was united in marriage to LaVonne Tyson. This union was blessed with two daughters, Kristi and Jane. The couple resided in Fairmont where Terry worked at Stokely-Van Camp. He continued working there after it was called Pic Sweet and retired when Pic Sweet closed. Terry was a member of the Eagles Club, Ducks Unlimited and Pheasants Forever. During his free time, Terry enjoyed traveling, fishing and gardening. He loved spending time with his family especially his granddaughter.
Left to cherish his memory include his special friend, Dorothy Caskey of Fairmont, Minn.; daughters, Kristi Davis (J.D.) of Phoenix, Ariz., and Jane Wickert of Fairmont, Minn.; granddaughter, Aunya Ganinghouse; brother, Duane Wickert (Connie) of Rochester, Minn.; many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Along with his parents, Joseph and Sarah Wickert, Terry was preceded in death by his brother, Berdette Wickert.
