Both equity and equality needed To the Editor: This letter is in response to a “Letter to the Editor” titled: “Misrepresenting MLK Jr.” published on Jan. 25, in the Sentinel. With all due respect to the writer, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. did believe in equity and equality. Here is the difference between equity and equality. Three children want to watch a parade. Between the children and the parade is a tall fence. They cannot watch the parade, because the fence is too tall and blocks their ability to see the parade.
