Fairmont handles Austin in return to Mahoney Field

FAIRMONT - The Fairmont football team is back in the win column. Friday night's contest against the Austin Packers saw the Cardinals execute in multiple facets, scoring on both offense and special teams to secure a 46-0 victory. Keyon Schutz banged the first touchdown on a 5-yard carry, with Jensen Livesay making it 12-0 after his goal-line quarterback sneak. Ryder Thate scampered down the right sideline for a long rushing touchdown to close the first quarter. Brayden Williamson scored consecutive times to make things 33-0, once on a punt return and the other on a pass from Livesay. Carter Hanson notched Fairmont's second punt return touchdown before Mason Bicknase's 3-yard score stamped the Cardinals’ lead before halftime.
