SHERBURN -- The Regional Worship Center will have a Youth Group event at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 24, with a meal provided. Memories Walk for a Senior Brunch will be at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 28, to celebrate the church's 104 years.
St. Luke’s Catholic Church has services at 5 p.m. on Saturday. In October, they will have Sunday morning services at 10:30 a.m. and will continue with the schedule through December.
The Circle of Faith Parishes will have services at 9 a.m. at Waverly Lutheran Church in Trimont, and 10:30 a.m. services at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Ceylon. They will have 9 a.m. services at First Lutheran in Trimont and 10:30 a.m. services at Trinity in Welcome in October.
St. John Lutheran Church in Sherburn will have a special combined service on September 27 at 8 a.m. and a meeting for voters to call a pastor at 8:45 a.m., including their partner church St. Paul’s in Wilbert. The Wilbert congregation will not have services that morning. St. John will have a 10:30 a.m. service that morning.

"Perfect Sundays", sponsored by local FFA and families, will be shown at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 26 and at 4 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 27, at the Sherburn Theatre. It is a six-part limited television series that addresses farmer mental health and suicide prevention. The first part of the series will be shown at the Sherburn Theatre and attendees will receive a code to stream the rest of the series. The screenings are offered at no cost from the sponsors in hopes that conversations about mental health and suicide prevention are supported. The Sherburn Theatre has installed the needed server; news of upcoming movies in Sherburn could be known soon.
An open house for the new business Blossom and Bud will be from 9 a.m.t o 3 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 26, at 26 North Main Street in Sherburn. There will be handcrafted goods, gifts and home decor from local makers and small businesses. Their hours will be 9 a.m. to 3 on Saturdays and 2:30 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesdays through Fridays. They will feature local vendors. Good luck to a new business in Sherburn.
The last Coffee Hours for September will be on Tuesday, Sept. 29, at St. Paul Community Church in Welcome. Coffee Hours from 8:30 to 10 a.m. on Tuesdays in October will be at the Sinn Family Celebration of Life Center in Sherburn. Coffee Hours are for one more month. Join friends and neighbors for good coffee, treats and fellowship.
The Memory Cafe, a free support group for caregivers or family members of dementia patients, will meet at 3 p.m. at Temperance Lake Ridge in Sherburn.
The Martin County West athletes will have games. The volleyball team will compete against Loyola at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 24, in Trimont. The volleyball team will play at GFW at 7 p.m. on Sept. 28. The football team will compete against Lester Prairie at 7 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 25, at Trimont. Good luck, Mavericks. The MCW football team will honor the military at the football game on Oct. 9, including a tailgate concession.
