CREST will host a bingo day for senior citizens at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 1 at Booz Baptist Apartments in Truman. RSVPs are required as space is limited. Call Yvonne at (507) 776-8555 to reserve a spot. Bingo will continue on the first Tuesday of every month.
The Lutz Cancer Center in Fairmont will offer a cancer support group meeting at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 1 at Mayo Clinic Health Systems in Fairmont. This is a monthly support group for patients from any community who have received a cancer diagnosis at any point in their lives. The speaker will be dietician Corrinna Lenort, RDN, LD. Attendees may share experiences and learn about coping with the challenges of cancer. Caregivers are welcome to attend.

Truman Pride will meet at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 2. Pride in the school, pride in the students and pride in our future. They work together to promote, support and accomplish fun things and resources for the students, staff and school. All are welcome. It is okay to bring your kids. Be a part of something positive.
Martin County Clean-up will be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 8 and from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Sept. 12, at the Martin County Highway Department in Fairmont. They will accept household hazardous waste (HHW), appliances and electronics, tires, car batteries and furniture. There is a charge for appliances, electrics, and furniture of $15 each, care tires are $3 each, semi tires/racing tires $10 each, and tractor tires $40 each, but HHW is free. Tuesday Sept. 8 is also free pesticide container recycling from 9 am to 1 pm.
Lewisville area volunteer fighting company annual burger bash will be from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 13, at the Lewisville Fire Hall. Free-will donations will be accepted. To-go meals will be available. The proceeds will go to equipment.
A pork chop fundraiser will be held from 4:30 to 7 p.m. on Monday, Sept 14 at the Truman Fire Hall. Free-will donations will be accepted.
