TRUMAN -- State Primary Election Day is Tuesday, Aug. 11. Vote from 7 to 8 p.m. at the Truman Municipal Building, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Rutland Township Hall-section 28 1448 State Highway 15 North in Fairmont, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Waverly Township-section 15, 2204 160th Avenue in Truman. Nashville and Westford Township live in a precinct where a ballot is mailed to you as a mail ballot voter. Return your ballot no later than 8 pm on Election Day. Household hazardous waste collection will be 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 12 at Prairieland Solid Waste Management in Truman. Paint, aerosols, cleaners, lawn/garden products, used gas and oil will be accepted.
If you are interested in supporting the local community, attend the Truman Active Living meetings, at 10 a.m. on the second Tuesday of each month at the Truman Historical Association Museum.
