SHERBURN -- Wow, July is almost over. Saturday is Aug. 1.
The Sherburn Library will have storytime at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 30, at the Sherburn Theatre.
The Trimont Farmers Market day will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday, July 31 (and Fridays), and includes activities for children, lunch and vendors.
Sundaes at the Park will be at 6 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 2, at Triumph Memorial Park in Trimont. The entertainment will be by Lucy Larson and Byron Kittleson. Bring lawn chairs, purchase ice cream and enjoy the music.
Condolences to the families of Cindy Bee Nelson (Kittleson), Daryl Becker, Michael “Mike” Golinghorst and David Anderson. They will all be missed by family and friends.

The Friendship Club from St. John’s Church will meet at 11 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 3, at the Little Swan Lake Winery in Estherville, Iowa. All are welcome to join them for lunch. Membership in the club or at St. John’s are not required.
The Sherburn City Council will meet at 5 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 3, at Sherburn City Hall. There is always time at the beginning of each meeting for public comment/questions without reservations. To be on the regular agenda, contact City Hall before the meeting at (507) 764-4491 or in person.
The Civic and Commerce Club will meet at noon on Thursday, Aug. 6, (and the first Thursday of month) at Bank Midwest in Sherburn. Members are encouraged to attend.
Hamburger Night will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 5, and Steak Fry Night will be from 5 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 8, at the American Legion in Sherburn.
Coffee Hours will be held from 8:30 to 10 a.m. each Tuesday in August at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Sherburn.
