SHERBURN -- Storybook Theatre will perform at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, July 24, at the Sherburn Theatre.
The Trimont Farmers' Market is from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Fridays at Anderson Park in Trimont. There are children’s activities from 10 a.m. to noon., a lunch and many vendors with homemade items and local produce.
Vacation Bible School for area children will start with dinner at 5:20 p.m. and be from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Covenant Church in Trimont. Area churches are co-sponsoring this VBS.
The Sherburn Library offers Arts and Crafts from 2:30 to 5 p.m. on Tuesdays, now located near the City Hall They have storytimes at 3:30 p.m. on Thursdays, occasionally at the Sherburn Theatre.
Condolences to the families of Ed Eckmann and Theodore "Ted" Erickson, who passed away recently. They will be missed by family and friends.
Have you checked out the sweet corn sales by the Youth Group from St. John Lutheran Church at the Sherburn Nursery parking lot? St. John’s will have their quarterly Voter’s Meeting at 9 a.m. on Sunday, July 26, following its 8 a.m. service. The Friendship Club from St. John will meet at 11 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 3, at the Little Swan Lake Winery in Estherville, Iowa. All are welcome. Membership in the club or at St. John’s is not required. St. John’s is also gearing up for the Tuesday Coffee Hours in August.
Tuesday Coffee Hours continue for one more Tuesday in July from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Tuesday, July 28, at the Regional Worship Center in Sherburn. Join friends and neighbors for good fellowship around a cup of coffee and treats.

Memory Cafe, a free support group for all family members and caregivers of patients with any dementia, will meet at 3 p.m. on Monday, July 27, at Temperance Lake Ridge in Sherburn.
If anyone would like to be a candidate for office at the City level (Mayor or Council) or for the Martin County West School Board on the November 3 election they should file an affidavit of Candidacy by July 28 (by noon) at the City Hall or at the school district office in the Elementary School in Sherburn.
The American Cancer Society Relay for Life will be from 4 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, July 28, at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Fairmont. There will be various fun, fundraising activities for the American Cancer Society. Plan to attend this worthwhile event.
The American Red Cross blood drives will be on Aug. 5 at Grace Lutheran Church in Fairmont, Aug. 10 at the Regional Worship Center in Sherburn, Aug. 21 at the American Legion Hall in Fairmont, and Sept. 1 and 2 at the Best Western in Fairmont.
The Martin County Fair will be from Aug. 17 to 23.
Martin County West Schools will begin school on Aug. 20 for grades 7 to 12, and on Aug. 24 for grades kindergarten to 6. They anticipate being in the new school next fall.
