Truman Active Living will meet at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, June 9, at the Truman Museum. Any Truman area resident who is interested in seeing our community continue to provide and improve our facilities is welcome to come and give their input.

Lewisville Fun Daze will meet at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 9, at the Legion. Please come. Volunteers are still needed.

Prairieland Solid Waste Management (PSWM) in Truman will have a household hazardous waste collection for Martin and Faribault County residents from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Wednesday, June 10. Come to the Truman Public Library at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, June 10, for storytime and a craft. Registration is not required. Questions can be directed to Theresa at (507) 776-2717, from 1:30 to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Kids are invited to the Lewisville library at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 10, to create a craft that looks like an ancient mosquito trapped in amber, inspired by Jurassic Park.

A Hard Day’s Night Beatles Tribute Band will perform at 7 p.m. on Thursday, June 11, at the Fairmont High School performing arts center. Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door. Proceeds go to Empower Coalition. Tickets are available at Hy-Vee, Fareway, State Bank and First Farmers and Merchants Bank.

The MN Department of Natural Resources is waiving entrance and vehicle permit fees on June 13 at all Minnesota State Parks.

Trinity Lutheran Church in Truman is holding a salad luncheon from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 24.
