FAIRMONT– Late last week, Julie Laue filed for District Four Martin County Commissioner, which represents the following precincts: the cities of Ceylon, Dunnell, Sherburn and Welcome; and the townships of Jay, Lake Belt, Lake Fremont, Manyaska, Rolling Green, Silver Lake and Tenhassen. The seat is currently held by Richard Koons, who is seeking re-election.
Since the Sentinel last ran a filing update on May 21, Ben Madsen has filed to retain his seat as County Surveyor and Nolan Kittleson has filed for District Four Soil and Water Supervisor, currently held by Doug Eisenmenger.
So far, at least one person has filed for each of the nine open seats in Martin County with the District Four Martin County Commissioner being the only to have more than one file for.
