Welcome Memorial Day Program on May 25

WELCOME — The Welcome Legion Auxiliary will meet at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, May 18, at the Welcome Legion Hall. They will discuss the Memorial Day program, which will be held at 9 a.m. on Monday, May 25, at the Legion Hall. Ean Sinn will be the speaker. All members are encouraged to attend the meeting and program.

The Martin County West School Board will meet at 6 p.m. on Monday, May 18, at Sherburn Elementary School.

The Welcome City Council will meet at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, May 19, at City Hall. There is always a time for public comments or questions at the beginning of each meeting. To be on the regular agenda, please contact City Clerk Jodi Hemann at (507) 728-8740 before the meeting.

A Coffee Hour will be from 8:30 to 10 a.m. on Tuesday, May 19, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Welcome. Join friends and neighbors for good coffee, treats and fellowship.

The Parish Council of the Circle of Faith Parishes will meet at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, May 19, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Welcome.

The CREST Lunch and Learn program will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, May 20, at First Lutheran Church in Trimont. The program is free for senior citizens in Martin County. CREST appreciates a free-will donation. The lunch will follow the program. Please call (507) 235-3833 to RSVP.

The burning site will be open from 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday, May 23. Please bring only wood that is six inches in diameter or smaller, leaves, branches and grass clippings to the site. Please do not bring garbage or metal items. Thank you.

The American Red Cross blood drives will be on Monday, May 18, at the St. John Vianney Catholic Church in Fairmont, on Wednesday, May 20, at Grace Lutheran Church in Fairmont, on June 2 and 3 at the Best Western in Fairmont, on June 19 at the Fairmont Legion, on June 15 at the Sinn Family Celebration of Life Center in Trimont and on June 29 inTruman.
