CEYLON — The Welcome Legion Auxiliary will have a Spring Vendor Show from 8:30 a.m. to noon today, Saturday, May 2, at the Sinn Family Celebration of Life Center/St. Paul’s Community Church in Welcome. Breakfast will be served for a free-will donation. Many vendors with crafts and gifts will be present. Plan to attend.

Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Ceylon will have its communion service at 5:30 p.m. today, Saturday, May 2. Area residents are welcome to join. They invite residents to join their Bible Study at 10 a.m. each Tuesday.

St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Wilbert will have services with communion at 10 a.m. on Sunday, May 3. Their partner, St. John’s Lutheran Church in Sherburn, will have a service at 8 a.m. and a special Confirmation service at 10:30 a.m. The Circle of Faith Parishes have May services at 9 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Welcome and 10:30 a.m. services at First Lutheran Church in Trimont.

The Friendship Club from St. John’s will meet for lunch at 11 a.m. on Monday, May 4, at the Lake Belt Bar and Grill in Ceylon. Membership at St. John’s is not required. Area residents are welcome to join the fun.

The Lake Belt Bar and Grill has announced that it will be closed on all Sundays in May.

The WELCA ladies group from St. Peter Lutheran Church in Ceylon will meet at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 6, at the church. They will do Bible Study from session two in the Gather, and the hostess will be Julaine Markquart. All members are urged to attend.

The Circle of Faith Parishes will have an event at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, May 5, at Waverly Lutheran Church in Trimont. Bishop Dee Pederson will speak about the companion synod and her recent trip to South Africa. The public is welcome.

Coffee Hours continue from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. each Tuesday in May at Trinity Lutheran Church in Welcome. Join friends and neighbors for great coffee, treats and fellowship.

The Ceylon Coffee Lovers meet from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. each Thursday at the Lake Belt Bar and Grill in Ceylon. Another opportunity for fellowship.

A CREST Lunch and Learn program will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, May 6, at the Sinn Family Celebration of Life Center in Sherburn. These fun and educational programs are free to Martin County senior citizens. CREST appreciates a free-will donation.

The Ceylon City Council is scheduled to meet at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, May 12, at City Hall.
