Fairmont roadway notices

FAIRMONT — The City of Fairmont has announced that citizens should heed the following notices:

Prairie Avenue and State Street Traffic Signal Notice

Due to a malfunction with a component in the traffic signal, the unit at Prairie Avenue and State Street is not functioning properly. Treat this intersection as a four-way stop. The vendor has been notified, and the city anticipates a resolution within the next couple of weeks.

Lake Avenue Business Access

Businesses on the south side of Lake Avenue remain accessible by the Highland Court intersection. Roadway paving was planned for Wednesday.

Lair Road Maintenance Notice

Pavement will be repaired on Lair Road from Knollwood Drive west to County Road 39 (Fairgrounds Road) today, Thursday, April 23, and/or Friday, April 24. The roadway will remain open; however, traffic will be reduced to one lane around the moving work zone. Exercise caution when traveling through the area and expect minor delays.
