The Welcome Legion Auxiliary will meet at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, April 20. All members are encouraged to attend.

A Vendor Show will be on May 2 at the Welcome Legion Hall. For further information, contact Amanda Kleinschmidt.

There is no Welcome Festival planned this year. Jon Auringer sent out feelers for volunteers next year. The possibility of city-wide rummage/garage sales being held is in doubt. These events do not happen without volunteers to organize and fundraise for them.

The Welcome City Council will meet at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, April 21, at City Hall. There is always a time for public questions and comments at the beginning of each meeting. To be on the regular agenda, contact City Hall prior to the meeting date at (507) 728-8740.

Condolences to the family of Mary Garbers, who passed away recently. She will be missed by family and friends.

Tuesday Coffee Hours continue from 8:30 to 10 a.m. each Tuesday in April at the Sinn Family Celebration of Life Center in Trimont. Join friends and neighbors for great coffee, treats and fellowship. The Tuesday Coffee Hours in May will be at Trinity Lutheran Church in Welcome.

Welcome Clean Up Day from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. (or whenever the truck is full) on Saturday, April 25. Purchase tickets at the City Hall by Thursday, April 23. Authorization stickers must be on the appliance items. The drop-off site is by the Water Treatment Plant. The drop-off site for non-appliance items is at the lot by the water tower behind the Fire Hall on Campbell Street. Stickers are not required for regular garbage items. This clean-up opportunity is only for Welcome residents. This is a great opportunity to get rid of the items that are an ordinance violation for less. Thank you for your cooperation.

Starting at $2.99/week.
