Spruce Up Truman accepting donations

TRUMAN — The Spruce Up Truman Committee would like donations to buy plants for their planters on Truman’s Main Street. The donations will be used to purchase plants and potting soil. Any donation amount is appreciated. Donations can be mailed to the Truman Museum, P.O. Box 56, Truman, MN 56088. Donations can also be dropped off at the museum on Fridays from 1 to 4 p.m.

The Martin County Humane Society will have a bake sale from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, April 18, at Fleet Farm Supply/Ace Hardware in Fairmont. Gluten-free options will be available.

Truman Lions Club Burger Bash will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Saturday, April 18, at the Truman Community Building. Come and enjoy a fresh burger, beans, condiments, chips and a beverage. To-go is also available.

Lewisville–Remembering our past will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, April 18, at the Lewisville Legion. Join us to reminisce and share your memories about growing up in or around Lewisville. If you would like to share please bring it with you. This is an informal gathering with a light lunch served and the Legion bar will be open. This event is sponsored by Lewisville FUN DAZE.

The Lewisville Legion Auxiliary will have its seasonal chicken supper from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Sunday, April 19.

The Truman City Council will meet at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, April 20. All meetings are open to the public.

The Truman School board will meet at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, April 20, in the Board Conference Room.

School conferences will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on April 21 and April 23.

-1:30 to 6:30 pm on May 11, at Amboy Presbyterian Church

-Noon to 6 pm on June 29 at the Truman Community building
