Ceylon Community Day today
CEYLON — Today is the Ceylon Community Day Auction and City-wide Rummage Sales. Plan to attend. Please be respectful of private property and use the garbage containers available. If using four wheelers or golf carts, there is a speed limit for those vehicles in the city. The maps for the rummage sales are available at the bus (auctioneer’s office) and the post office.
The Ceylon Area Historical Society Museum will be open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. today.

A CREST Lunch and Learn program will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, April 15, at the First Lutheran Church in Trimont. The program will focus on improving brain power. These programs are free to senior citizens from Martin County. RSVP at (507) 235-3833. Free-will donations are appreciated.
American Red Cross blood drives will be from 1 to 6 p.m. on Monday, April 13, at the Regional Worship Center in Sherburn, on Friday, April 17, at the American Legion Hall in Fairmont and on Monday, April 27, at Martin Luther High School in Northrop. Call 800-RED-CROSS (800-733-2767), go online to www.redcrossblood.org or text BLOODAPP to 90999 to make an appointment or find further information about blood drives. An additional number for the Sherburn drive is Dorothy at (507) 236-5764. Blood is needed now. Give if you are eligible since the blood level is low. To give blood, a person must be 16 or older, in good health and weigh at least 110 pounds. Each blood donation may save three lives.
The Lake Promenaders Square Dance club will meet 3 p.m. on Sunday, April 12, at 804 West 1st Street in Welcome. Dancers and watchers are welcome.
Tuesday Coffee Hours have started, and will continue from 8:30 to 10 a.m. each Tuesday at the Sinn Family Celebration of Life Center in Trimont. Join friends and neighbors for coffee, treats and fellowship.
Coffee Lovers meet from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. each Thursday in the back room of the Lake Belt Bar and Grill in Ceylon.
The Spring Rummage and Bake Sale at Martin Luther High School in Northrop will be held from Thursday, April 16 to Saturday, April 18.
The Lake Belt Bar and Grill will have Bingo to help the Fox Lake Conservation from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, April 19. Plan to attend.
Area churches are back to their usual service schedule and invite area residents to join them for services. The Circle of Faith parishes meet at 9 a.m. at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Ceylon or at Waverly Lutheran Church north of Welcome at 10:30 a.m. Sundays. St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Wilbert will have 10 a.m. services and their partner church in Sherburn will have 8 a.m. services. Our Savior’s Lutheran Church has Saturday 5:30 p.m, services on the first and third Saturdays. St. Luke’s Catholic Church in Sherburn will have 10:30 a.m. Sunday services from April to June. St. Paul’s Community Church in Welcome will have 9:30 a.m. services on Sundays and the Assembly of God Regional Worship Center in Sherburn will have services at 10 a.m.
