TRUMAN — The Jaguars’ baseball team will compete against Madelia today, April 9, at Truman. The Jaguar golf teams will compete against Madelia today, April 9, at Madelia Golf Club. The Jaguars’ softball team will compete against Madelia today, April 9, at Truman. The Jaguars’ track and field teams will be compete with multiple schools today, April 9, at Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton High School. The Jaguars’ baseball team will compete against Mountain Lake on Friday, April 10, at Mountain Lake. The Jaguars’ softball team will compete against Minnesota Valley Lutheran on Friday, April 10, at Minnesota Valley Lutheran. The Jaguars’ baseball team will compete against Nicollet on Monday, April 13, at Nicollet.
Truman Firemen’s Fundraising Breakfast will be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sunday, April 12, at Truman Fire Hall. Free-will donations will be accepted. Dine-in or carryout will be available. It’s going to be good. Pancakes, scrambled eggs or Denver-style eggs, sausage, bacon, hashbrowns, coffee, milk and juice will be served. Proceeds will go to the fire equipment fund.

A science activity will be from 3 to 5 p.m. on Monday, April 13, at TPS. Grades 3 and younger need to be accompanied by an adult.
Every swing counts. Every cheer matters. Help the Jaguars 2026 Strike Out Cancer Hometown Heroes. You can donate, attend, and support on April 14th at the Truman Baseball Field and Rosburg Softball Field. The Jags vs AG/CE at approximately 4:30 pm when festivities begin. Get ready to bid on some amazing silent auction donations and delicious food at the concession stand. We are accepting monetary donations and silent auction donations. They can be dropped off at Elizabeth Chevrolet or Truman Schools during business hours or contact a committee member to arrange pickup. Hope to see you on April 14 in Truman. Checks can be made out to Relay for Life.
The Spruce Up Truman Committee would like donations to buy plants for their planters on Truman’s Main Street. Money collected will be used to purchase plants and potting soil to refresh the posts. Any amount of your donation would be appreciated. Donations can be mailed to the Truman Museum, PO Box 56, Truman, MN 56088. Donations can also be dropped off at the museum from 1 to 4 p.m. on Fridays.
Recycling day is Wednesday. Please place your container on the curb by 7 a.m. with the front facing the street.
Second Harvest Heartland, a nutrition assistance program for seniors, will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 am on Wednesday, April 15. Come to Trinity Lutheran Church in Truman to pick up your box. Eligibility is based on age, 60 years and up, household size, and income. Pre-register at 1-800-365-0270.
