Fairmont Speech takes first at Big South Conference tournament

REDWOOD FALLS/FAIRMONT — The Fairmont High School Speech team competed at the Big South Conference Speech Tournament on Thursday, March 19, in Redwood Falls.

Fairmont Speech Team won the Conference Championship with 198 points. Belle Plaine was the runner-up with 126 points. Three Fairmont speakers were recognized as All Conference Honorable Mentions (third place), three speakers were recognized as All Conference Runner-Ups (second place) and six speakers were recognized as All Conference Champions (first place).
