Trimont Spring Farmers’ Market on March 26

WELCOME — The boy scouts will be coming around town to pick up non-perishable food and paper products for area food shelves at around 9 a.m. on Saturday, March 21. Check out the information on Facebook.

The cribbage tournament will begin with registration at 1:15 p.m. on Saturday, March 21, at the Welcome Legion Hall. All area cribbage players are welcome to join.

Condolences to the families of David Auringer, Diane Benson and Lawrence Cihak from Trimont. They will be missed by family and friends.

The last midweek Lenten Service for this season will be held on March 25. The following week is Holy Week the week before Easter. Area churches are planning services on Wednesday. The Circle of Faith Parishes will meet at Waverly Lutheran Church north of Welcome at 6 p.m. for a meal by the council and then they will have a service at 7 p.m. St. Luke’s Catholic Church in Sherburn will have 8:30 a.m. services on Wednesday and a Stations of the Cross and mass on Tuesday at 5:30 p.m., followed by a meal. St. John’s Lutheran Church from Sherburn will gather at their partner church in Wilbert for a 6 p.m. service and a cooperative lunch following the service. Area residents are welcome to join any of these congregations for services.

A Spring Indoor Farmers’ Market will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursday, March 26, at the Sinn Celebration of Life Center in Trimont. They will serve a lunch including soup and bars or cookies and coffee. The free will donation for the lunch will go to the Trimont food shelf. The market will feature many vendors of local goods and crafts. Plan to attend.

There are Red Cross blood drives planned in April: April 8 at Truman High School, April 13 at the Regional Worship Center in Sherburn, April 17 the Fairmont Legion, and April 27 at Martin Luther High School in Northrop.
