Truman Historical Museum open on Fridays
TRUMAN — Do you have a new baby? Or have you recently moved to the Truman School District and have children ages zero to five? Call community education at (507) 776-2111 to add your children’s names to the preschool census so you can receive up-to-date mailings about activities that are offered for your children. An accurate census is vital for our programming and district planning.
Lil’ Jags’ 3-year-old and 4-year-old preschool is available. Scholarships are available for each class along with busing. Children will receive breakfast and lunch at no cost. 3-year-olds who turn by Sept. 1 have two half-day classes. 4-year-olds will be partial days on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. The Truman Historical Museum welcomes you to come in from 1 to 4 p.m. on Fridays to view the exhibits and enjoy a cup of coffee.
Truman Lions Club Burger Bash will be held from 5 to 7 p.m., Saturday, March 21, at the Truman Community Building. Come and enjoy a fresh burger, beans, condiments, chips and a beverage. To-go is also available.
Lewisville Legion Auxiliary will have a chicken supper from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Sunday, March 22.
St. Paul’s Ev. Lutheran Church in Truman will have an 8:30 a.m. Chapel Service and a 6:30 p.m. Lenten Service on Wednesday, March 25.
A science activity will be from 3 to 5 pm on Monday, March 23, at TPS. Third grade and younger need to be accompanied by an adult.
The Trinity Lutheran youth are serving pasta bar, garlic bread, salad and dessert from 5:15 to 6:15 p.m. on Wednesday, March 25. The meal is a free-will donation. The Lenten Worship Service begins at 6:30 p.m.

Easy Automation Inc. is providing a $1000 scholarship to a student pursuing a degree in a program from Bruce P. Larson’s area of work, who developed the electrical and controls department of EAI. This scholarship is for the 2026-2027 academic year. Students attending a two- or four-year college, university, or vocational-technical school are eligible.
