TRUMAN — The Granada/Huntley/East Chain School Theater Department presents “Spring Break” at 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday evenings in the GHEC small gym.

Lewisville Fun Daze build-your-own burger bash will be from 5 to 7 p.m. on Saturday, March 7, at the Lewisville Legion. Enjoy burgers, salads and desserts for a free-will donation. Proceeds support Lewisville’s 125th anniversary celebration from June 19 to 20. Karaoke starts at 8 p.m.

It’s time to ‘spring ahead’ with our clocks before going to bed Saturday evening. Sunday, March 8, begins daylight savings time.

Truman Public School will resume school on Monday, March 9.

Truman Active Living will meet at 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 10, at the Truman Museum. Any Truman area resident interested in seeing our community continue to provide and improve our facilities is welcome to come and give their input.

St. Paul’s Ev. Lutheran Church in Truman will have an 8:30 am Chapel Service and a 6:30 pm Lenten Service on Wednesday, March 10.

Trinity Lutheran Church youth will serve tacos with all the fixings, and ice cream from 5:15 to 6:15 p.m. on Wednesday, March 10 for a free-will donation. The Lenten Worship service will begin at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 10. The public is welcome.

Since the blood supply is so short, mark your calendars for the following American Red Cross blood donation places/dates: 1 to 6 p.m. on March 11 at GHEC school, noon to 6 p.m. on March 17 at Winnebago Community Center, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on April 8 at Truman Public School, 12:30 to 5:30 p.m. on April 27 at Martin Luther High School in Northrop, 1:30 to 6:30 p.m. on May 11 at Amboy Presbyterian Church and from noon to 6 p.m. on June 29 at the Truman Community Building.

The Truman Sorority will have its annual easter egg hunt at 10 a.m. on April 4 at Graf Park. Bring your own containers.
