MANKATO — The Fairmont High School Speech team competed at the Mankato East Quack-tacular on Saturday, Feb. 28. Fairmont took first place in team sweepstakes.
Novice finals:
Creative Expression: Natalie Flaherty took third.
Duo interpretation: Sophia Streit and Hannah Gries are the Champions.
Extemp. Speaking: Emma Schmidt was the Champion.
Great Speeches: Emma Schmidt was the Champion.
Humorous: Max Coan took sixth.
Informative: Erin Spencer took third. Georgia Werre took second.
Poetry: Feven Hoyer took second. Anthony Klanderud was the Champion.
Prose: Julia Reyelts took fifth. Audrey Streit took fourth. Melody Cordova took third. Jackson Henning took second.
Storytelling: William Hamlet took fourth.
