Fairmont Speech completes Minneapple tournament

APPLE VALLEY — The Fairmont Speech Team competed at the Minneapple Speech Tournament on Saturday, Feb. 7, in Apple Valley.

Novice Finals:

Freshmen Sophia Streit and Hannah Gries took fifth in Duo.

Eighth grader Addie Lintelman took fifth in Oratory.

Varsity Semi-finals:

Junior Calixta Tessendorf semi-finaled in Discussion.

Varsity Finals:

Senior Cooper Gudahl and Junior Leon Yang took fifth in Duo.

Junior Leon Yang was the champion in Humorous.

The Fairmont Speech team competes on Saturday, Feb. 14, at Mankato Loyola Catholic School.

The Fairmont Speech Team is coached by Kathleen Walker, Erik Walker and Miles Duffey.
