Rollerskating planned at TPS

TRUMAN — Martin Luther High School will have a Mac and Cheese Cookoff from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 6, during the girls Jaguar’s basketball game against Fairmont. This macaroni and cheese cook-off is open to the public. Admission is $7, which allows sampling of all macaroni and cheese entered in the competition and one vote for your favorite.

The Martin County Humane Society will have a bake sale from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 7 at the Fleet Farm Supply/Ace Hardware in Fairmont. Gluten-free options will be available.

The Lewisville Legion will have karaoke at 8 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 7.

The Jaguar’s boys’ basketball team will play against Nicollet tonight at Granada. The Jaguar girls’ and boys’ basketball teams will play on Saturday, Feb. 7 at Martin County West in Sherburn. The Jaguar’s girls’ basketball team will play against St. James on Tuesday, Feb. 10 at MLHS.

Family Game Night will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 6, in the board room at Truman Public School. Admission is $5 per family. Games will be provided or families may bring their own.

TPS will have rollerskating ($5 per person) from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. and free open gym from 3 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 8 at the school’s gymnasium. Children grades 3 and younger must be accompanied by an adult. Craft activities will be held from 3 to 4:30 p.m., Monday, Feb. 9 in the home ec room at TPS. Pre-registration is necessary. Bring a snack, a beverage is provided. Children in grades 3 or younger must be accompanied by an adult for all these activities.

Driver’s education information can be found in the TPS office. This will be the last class at GHEC and TPS as there is not an instructor to offer at this time. This class will begin in March, so get the information soon to get registered.

American Red Cross Blood Drive will be on Feb. 9 at the Sinn Family Celebration of Life Center in Trimont, Feb 10 and 11 at the Best Western in Fairmont and on Feb. 16 at the Lewisville Legion. Donors will receive a $20 card of choice to a merchant.

Truman Active Living will meet at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 10 at the Truman Museum. Anyone wishing to assist in the betterment of our community is welcome to attend.

Ruby’s Pantry will be from 5:30 to 7 p.m. on Feb. 16 in at the Regional Worship Center in Sherburn. The cost is $25 per bundle. If you would like to pay ahead, go to www.rubyspantry.org. There, you can schedule express track reservation. It will walk you through how to do it.
