Fairmont Speech competes at Wayzata tournament

FAIRMONT — The Fairmont Speech Team competed at the Wayzata Speech Tournament on Saturday, Jan. 31, in Plymouth, Minn.

Novice Finals:

Freshmen Sophia Streit and Hannah Gries took fourth in Duo.

Freshman Sophia Streit was the champion in Storytelling.

Varsity Finals:

Junior Allie Streit took fourth in Drama.

Junior Leon Yang was the champion in Humorous.

Senior Belinda Lutterman was the champion in United States Extemporaneous Speaking.

The Fairmont Speech Team competes on Saturday, Feb. 7 at Apple Valley High School.

The Fairmont Speech Team is coached by Kathleen Walker, Erik Walker and Miles Duffey.
