CEYLON — Line Dancing lessons will be from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. tonight at the Lake Belt Bar and Grill in Ceylon. Admission is $5. Boots are encouraged, but not required. Lake Belt also is planning a Friends Trivia Night Feb. 13 and a Music Bingo on March 14. Join the fun in Ceylon.

The Lake Promenaders Square Dance Club will have Square Dance Lessons from 3 to 6 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 1 at 408 West First Street in Welcome. No experience needed and all are welcome.

The Circle of Faith Parishes will have February services at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Ceylon at 9 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. Sunday services at Waverly Lutheran Church north of Welcome. Feb. 18 is Ash Wednesday and the beginning of the Lenten season. Circle of Faith parishes will have Ash Wednesday services at 7 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Welcome and all the Wednesday Lenten services will be at Waverly north of Welcome with a meal at 6 p.m. and the service at 7 p.m. Each congregation will providethe meal in rotation. St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Wilbert will have an Ash Wednesday service at 7:30 p.m. on Feb. 18. Their partner church, St. John’s in Sherburn will have a 6 p.m. service. Area residents are welcome to join these churches for services.

The Ceylon Area Historical Society will have its annual meeting at 4:30 p.m. on Feb. 4 at the Portage Bank in Ceylon. All members are urged to attend.

The Coffee Lovers meet from 8:30 to 10 a.m. each Thursday at the Lake Belt Bar and Grill’s back room. All area residents are welcome to join them for coffee and fellowship.

The CREST Lunch and Learn will have a program in from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Feb. 4 at the Sinn Celebration of Life Center at 212 North Prairie Street in Sherburn. These programs and lunch following are free to senior citizens in Martin County. CREST does appreciate a free will donation.

Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Ceylon will have a 5:30 p.m. service on Feb. 7, with communion. They also invite area residents to the Bible Study class each Tuesday morning at 9:30 a.m.

There will be a Kids Against Hunger packing session from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Feb. 7 at the National Guard Armory in Fairmont. Get a team together and help fill the boxes.
