Family Game Night on Friday at TPS

TRUMAN — The Jaguars girls’ basketball team will play tonight at Granada-Huntley-East Chain school in Granada, on Friday, Jan. 16 at Loyola in Mankato, and on Tuesday, Jan. 20 at USC.

Family Game Night will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 16 in the board room at the Truman Public School (TPS). Admission is $5 per family. Games are available or guests may bring games.

Puzzle Night will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 21 in the board room at TPS. This is a free event, and puzzles are provided. Bring your own snacks and beverages.

TPS conferences will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 20 and Thursday, Jan. 22.

Open gym with no charge will be available from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 18 at Truman Public School. Rollerskating will be from 3 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 18 in the TPS gym. Admission is $5 charge per person. Guardians are required to be present for children grades 3 and younger for open gym and rollerskating.

Truman Lions Club Burger Bash will be held from 5 to 7 pm, Saturday, Jan. 17 at the Truman Community Building. Come and enjoy a fresh burger, beans, condiments, chips and a beverage. To-go will be available.

Congratulate the new couple, Merrill and Charmine Davis, from noon to 2 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 18 at the Truman Church of Christ.

Ruby’s Pantry will be from 5:30 to 7 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 19 at the Regional Worship Center in Sherburn. The cost is $25 per bundle. If you would like to pay ahead go to www.rubyspantry.org. There you can schedule your express track reservation. It will walk you through how to do it.

Free admission to all State parks will be on Monday, Jan. 19. Visit Minneopa State Park in the winter and see the waterfall, the seppman mill and of course the bison.

Second Harvest Heartland, nutrition assistance program for seniors, will be held 9:30 to 10:30 am Wednesday, Jan. 21 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Truman. Eligibility is based on age, 60 years and up, household size, and income. Pre-register at 1-800-365-0270.

American Red Cross blood drives will be from 12 to 5 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 30 at the Truman Community Center, from 1:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Feb. 9 at GHEC in Granada and from 2 to 7 p.m. on Feb. 16 at the American Legion Post 561 in Lewisville.
