Truman Pride to meet Jan. 7
TRUMAN — Free Christmas Tree Recycling is available until Jan. 10. Only natural trees can be brought to the Fairmont City Street Shop or the Sherburn Nursery. Questions, contact Andy Geiger at (507) 776-3232. No wreaths, artificial trees, tree stands, lights or ornaments.
Truman Public School will resume school on Monday, Jan. 5.
The Truman City Council will meet at 5:30 pm on Monday, Jan. 5. The public is welcome to attend these meetings.
Wednesday is recycling day. Containers should be curbside by 7 am.
The CREST Lunch and Learn will be from 11 am to 1 pm on Jan. 7 at Sherburn’s Sinn Family Celebration of Life Center. These programs are free to senior citizens in Martin County. CREST appreciates a free will donation for the lunch.
Truman Pride will meet at 6 pm on Jan. 7. Pride in the school, pride in the students and pride in our future. They work together to promote, support and accomplish fun things and resources for the students, staff and school. All are welcome. Be a part of something positive.
Meals on Wheels in Truman helps older adults maintain good health and remain living at home, by providing hot, nutritious meals Monday through Friday as well as a friendly visit and safety check for Minnesotans aged 60 and older. District 458 preschool screenings in Truman will be held Jan. 14. Minnesota state law requires that every child has a developmental screening before entering kindergarten. Screening is done at three years of age by Jan. 14. The screening is free of charge. Letters will be mailed out to parents when their child meets age requirements for a screening date.
