Truman Santa Parade on Saturday
TRUMAN — Just a reminder that Dec. 19 is ugly sweater day, so put on the ugly sweater, sweater vest or jacket and make someone smile–even yourself.
Truman Public School will be dismissing at noon on Friday, Dec. 19, for Christmas break. School will resume on Jan. 5, 2026.
The Jaguar boys basketball game will be Monday Dec. 22 at Granada-Huntley-East Chain School in Granada.
The GHEC/ML/Truman Jaguar girls and boys basketball teams have games at GHEC school tonight.

The longest night of the year, the winter solstice, will arrive reliably as ever on the first day of winter, Sunday, Dec. 21, to welcome the gradual lengthening of days. It is also the beginning of winter.
The Truman City Library is accepting donations of canned goods and non-perishable food items from 1:30 to 5:30 pm weekdays on Dec. 22. The library is located at 101 East Ciro Street.
The Truman Church of Christ will have a church service at 10 am on Dec. 21.
St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Truman will have a 7 p.m. on Christmas eve hymn sing and a Christmas Day worship service at 9 am.
Trinity Lutheran Church in Truman will hold their Christmas Eve service at 6 pm on Dec. 24 with a candlelight service and holy communion. There is no service on Christmas Day.
