WELCOME — The Circle of Faith Parishes are celebrating Christmas this Sunday with song. At 10:30 a.m., the Waverly Lutheran Church north of Welcome will present the choir’s Cantata. The First Lutheran Church in Trimont will host an Advent Carol Sing at 6:30 p.m. The Sunday School program is scheduled for Dec. 14 at First Lutheran in Trimont, followed by a potluck meal. First Lutheran is also the site for a free soup supper on Dec. 10 from 5 to 6:30 p.m. During December, St. Peter Lutheran Church in Ceylon and Trinity Lutheran Church in Welcome will have 9 a.m. services. The St. Paul’s Community Church in Welcome has Sunday services at 9:30 a.m. Area residents are welcome to join these congregations’ events.

The Sherburn Theatre will have a free movie this weekend, sponsored by the Civic and Commerce Club and Fox Lake Conservation District. The movie will be Zootopia 2 and show times are 7 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 5 and Saturday, Dec. 6 and 4 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 7. Thank you for sponsoring the movie.

The Welcome Legion will meet at 7 p.m. on Dec. 8 at the Legion Hall. All members are encouraged to attend.
