WELCOME — A Santa Workshop will be from 1 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 30 at the Sinn Celebration of Life Center in Sherburn. Crafts and games, treats, letters to Santa, photos with Santa, a Christmas movie and more are planned for lots of fun.

An American Red Cross blood drive will be on Dec. 1 at at the Regional Worship Center in Sherburn and St. John Vianney Catholic Church in Fairmont. The Welcome City Council will meet at 6 p.m. on Dec. 2 at City Hall. All members are encouraged to attend. There is always a time for public comments and questions at the beginning of each meeting with out reservations. The Sherburn Theatre will feature “Zootopia 2” at 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and 4 p.m. on Sunday.

The Welcome Bank and Borchardt Insurance will have their annual Holiday Open House from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Dec. 3. Please bring items for the food shelf.

The Sinn Family Celebration of Life Center will have a Ham Bingo at 6:30 p.m. on Dec. 4. Doors open at 5 p.m. Win hams and prizes and have fun.

The Welcome/Sherburn Police Department will have their annual Shop with a Cop event for children to buy presents for their family on Dec. 11. Donations are appreciated and should be given to the Welcome Fire Relief Association by Dec. 1 since they are processing the donations. Call (507) 764-4221 and they will pick up the donation.

The Welcome Santa Day is scheduled at the Welcome Legion Hall from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. on Dec. 14. They will have hot dogs and treats, photos with Santa by Chelsie Wink, crafts, coloring contest and fire truck and cop car to see. For further information contact Amanda Kleinschmidt or Kristie Cook.

The Circle of Faith parishes will have a special service on Dec. 7 at 10:30 a.m. at Waverly Lutheran Church north of Welcome featuring the Cantata by the choir. There will be an Advent Sing at the First Lutheran Church in Trimont on Dec. 7 at 6:30 p.m. The Sunday School program will be held Dec. 14.
