TRUMAN — Truman Lions Club Burger Bash will be held from 5 to 7 pm, Saturday, Nov. 15 at the Truman Community Building. Come and enjoy a fresh burger, beans, condiments, chips and a beverage. To-go is available.

Come to the Granada Ambulance Hall for family Turkey Bingo beginning with food at 11 a.m. and bingo at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 16. This is a fundraiser for equipment and training. No outside beverages or food allowed.

The Truman City Council will meet 5:30 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 17. All meetings are open to the public.

The Truman Public Schools Board meeting will be held 5:30 pm Monday Nov. 17, in the board conference room.

Ruby’s Pantry grocery distribution will be from 5:30 to 7:30 pm on Nov. 17 at the parking lot of the Regional Worship center in Sherburn. There are no income or residential requirements.

Second Harvest Heartland, nutrition assistance program for seniors, will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 19. Go to Trinity Lutheran Church in Truman to pick up your box. Eligibility is based on age, 60 years and up, household size, and income. Pre-register at 1-800-365-0270.

Truman Active Living will meet at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 18 at the Truman Museum. Anyone wishing to assist in the betterment of our community is welcome to attend. Note the change of date.

Recycling day is Wednesday, Nov. 19. Recycling containers should be curbside by 7 a.m., with all cardboard broken down.

The Lewisville Commercial Club will meet at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 19 at the Legion.

The Truman Fire Department will again be having a Santa Parade this year. Watch their Facebook page for dates, time, and other possible events. They will put out more information as they get closer.
