WELCOME — The Sherburn Legion will have its Steak Fry Night from 5 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 8. There will be a choice of steak, shrimp or pork chop. Plan to attend.

A visitation and funeral for Sue Nelson at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 8, at the Welcome Legion Hall.

The cribbage tournaments begin at 1:15 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 8, and Saturday, Nov. 15 at the Welcome Legion Hall. All registration dues are paid back in prizes. The public is welcome. Spend a fun afternoon playing cribbage with friends.

The Circle of Faith Parishes will each have their own Harvest Festival service since no Thanksgiving Services are planned. The First Lutheran Church in Trimont will have its service at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 9. The Circle of Faith services are at 9 a.m. at Trinity in Welcome and at 10:30 a.m. at First Lutheran in Trimont for November.

Condolences to the family of Barb Lohse, who passed away recently. She will be missed by family and friends.

The square dancing club, Lake Promenaders, will meet at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 9, at the Shaw home at 804 West 1st Street in Welcome. All dancers and watchers are welcome to join them on the second and fourth Sundays of each month.

The Welcome Legion will meet at 7 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 10. All members are encouraged to attend. There will be a Veterans Day supper for members and spouses starting with a 5 p.m. social hour and a 6:30 p.m. dinner on Nov. 11 at the Welcome Legion Hall. Thank you for your service. The Legion Auxiliary will meet at 6:30 p.m. on Nov. 17.

The American Red Cross blood drives will be held on Nov. 25 and Nov. 26 at the Best Western in Fairmont and on Dec. 1 at the Regional Worship Center in Sherburn and St. Vianney Catholic Church in Fairmont.
