The Old Alley Quilt Shop is planning a celebration of their 21st anniversary in business in Sherburn. On Nov. 8 at 10 a.m. they will have a quilt show, fabric rummage sale, drawing for prizes and display of quilts. Admission is $5 to the show at the Community Hall beneath the theatre. That amount can be your discount at the in Store sale across the street at the Old Alley Quilt Shop. Quilters may rent a booth to sell supplies and projects. Register your booth for the show and rummage sale, forms are on the website or at the store. Find treasures from the unfinished work and supplies of others. Bargain hunters will find amazing deals. Those who quilt for missions or charity will find price saving deals. The Old Alley Quilt Shop was originally a bowling alley that needed repair. The original owners, Becky Detert and Sharon Huse, transformed the alley into a charming shop and opened Oct. 30 in 2005. Fabrics, notions, classes and long arm services were offered. On Dec. 30, 2019 they sold the shop to Valerie Smith who continued the traditions. Plan to attend the special day on November 8 at 10 a.m. in Sherburn. Congratulations to the Old Alley Quilt Shop on 21 years in business.
