WELCOME — The Red Cross blood drive will be today at the American Legion Hall in Fairmont. The Burn Site will be open from 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Oct. 25. There is only one more date for the Burn Site to be open, Nov. 8. It will be closed until spring. Remember, only wood that is six inches in diameter or smaller is accepted.

Condolences to the families of Marlene Anderson from Trimont and Robert Anderson from Dunnell. They will be missed by family and friends.

Trunk and Treat will be from 1 to 3 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 26, on Dugan Street near the Legion Hall. Trunks will be decorated, and treats will be passed out. The Circle of Faith Parishes will meet at area cemeteries to have Coffee with the Saints on Oct. 30. They will meet at 8 a.m. at First Lutheran Church in Trimont, 10 a.m. at Waverly Lutheran Church Cemetery north of Welcome, noon at Lake Belt Cemetery near Ceylon and at 1 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Welcome for a time of remembering past members (the Saints).

The St. Paul’s Community Church in Welcome will have its Annual Turkey Dinner from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Nov. 2. The menu includes turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy, corn, cranberries and a variety of desserts for a free-will donation. Sounds yummy, plan to attend.
