TRUMAN — Truman Public Schools will not have school today, Oct. 16 or Oct. 17, because of MEA Break. There will be no school for Truman Public School students on Monday, Oct. 20. Parent-teacher conferences will be held from 1 to 7 p.m., Monday, Oct. 20.

All participants of the Truman Community Garden are reminded that they are responsible for leaving their plots as clean as they found them. Thank you to all who participated this summer. We hope you had a successful growing season.

Truman Lions Club Burger Bash will be from 5 to 7 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 18, at the Truman Community Building. Come and enjoy a fresh burger, beans, condiments, chips and beverage. To-go is available.

The Lewisville Legion Auxiliary Chicken Supper will be from 5 to 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 20, at the Lewisville Legion.

Truman City Council will meet at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 20. All meetings are open to the public.

Be sure to pick up your sub sandwiches from 3:30 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 29 at the Truman Public Schools cafeteria.
