Truman Farmers’ Market this Saturday

TRUMAN — This week is Homecoming week at Truman Public Schools. Griffin Studer and Londyn Bowers have been crowned as Homecoming King and Homecoming Queen. There will be a volleyball game against Nicollet at 7 p.m. tonight, Sept. 25. Students and staff will dress with their Jaguar school spirit on Friday, Sept. 26. The community parade will begin at 1:45 pm on Friday, Sept. 26. The Jaguar football game against Hills-Beavercreek will be at 7 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 26.

The Truman Farmers’ Market will be from 8 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 27 at Graf Park. You can find items from eggs, apples, pies, baked goods, jewelry, fresh produce and handmade greeting cards. If you have any tokens for the market or Granada Gardens, these tokens cannot be redeemed after Saturday, Sept. 27. The next farmers market is Oct. 11.

The GHEC/T/ML Jaguars volleyball team will travel for a tournament at 8 a.m. on Saturday Sept. 27. The team will have a game at 7 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 29 in St. Clair.

Recycling day is Wednesday, Oct. 1. Recycling containers should be curbside by 7 a.m. with all cardboard broken down.

The Truman Pride meeting will be held at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 1 at the Truman Public School. Pride in our school, pride in our students, pride in our future. Get involved and help Truman Schools succeed. All are welcome.

Truman High School’s after-prom party sub sandwich fundraiser is going on now through Oct. 3. Subs are $6 each or 10 for $55. Subs are made on 10 to 12 inch poor boy buns from Schmidt’s Bakery and are layered with ham, turkey, and white and yellow American cheese. Contact a TPS senior, junior, sophomore or contact Zanna Sill at (507) 384-8471 to place an order. Subs should be picked up from the school cafeteria from 3:30 to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 29. It is against the law to dispose of fluorescent bulbs and ballast with your regular garbage. Fluorescent bulb recycling will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 2 in the parking lot of Tractor Supply Co. in Fairmont. Cash and credit cards are accepted.
