Truman filled with events next week

TRUMAN — Garage sale maps will be available Saturday, July 19 at Casey’s in Truman. Be sure to check the time and day each sale is held. There are over 40 sales advertised.

The Truman Farmers’ Market will be from 8 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 19 at Graf Park. Vendors are welcome to come and sell produce and goods free of charge. There are several new vendors to choose from.

The Truman School Board meeting will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, July 21 in the board conference room.

The Truman City Council will meet at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, July 21 at the municipal building. These meetings are open to the public.

Come to the Truman Public Library at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, July 23 for storytime and a craft. Registration is not required. Questions can be directed to Theresa at (507) 776-2717, from 1:30 to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Late Night Swim at the Truman Pool will be until 11 p.m. on Wednesday, July 23. Mini golf is free to play. Call (507) 776-8561 to check daily hours.

Some city-wide garage sales begin Thursday, July 24. Be sure to check the map for day and time. Maps are available at Casey’s on July 19.

Please be aware of where you place your sign. The Minnesota Department of Transportation reminds the public that State law prohibits placement of private signs of any kind (i.e., political, lost pet, garage sale and other advertising signage) on highway right-of-way including driving lanes, inside and outside shoulders, ditches, sight corners at intersections and boulevards in urban areas. In addition, the Minnesota Outdoor Advertising Control Act prohibits placing advertising devices on public utility poles, trees, shrubs and by painting or drawing on rocks or natural features. Signs placed on the right-of-way will be removed.

The Minnesota State Fair tickets will go on sale. Stop by the Fairmont Area Chamber of Commerce to purchase your entrance tickets, ride tickets and gate passes. The Martin County Fair tickets will also be available soon. Office hours are from 8 am to 5 pm Monday through Thursday, and from 8 am to 3 pm on Friday. For questions, call (507) 235-5547.

2025 Division 2 southwest sub-state American Legion Baseball Tournament begins. All games are played in Truman. Truman will play at 8 p.m. on Thursday, July 17. Brackets can be collected at the game. A concession stand with yummy food is available to the public.
