WELCOME — The Welcome burn site will be open for Welcome residents from 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday. Wood that is six inches in diameter or smaller may be brought. Thank you for your cooperation.

The Circle of Faith parishes meet at 9 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Welcome and at 10:30 a.m. at First Lutheran Church in Trimont this weekend. St. Paul’s Community Church in Welcome meets at 9:30 a.m. St. John’s Lutheran Church in Sherburn will have a special 9 a.m. service with their partner church from Wilbert and a voter’s meeting following the joint service. Wilbert will not have a service that day. St. Luke’s Catholic Church has services at 5 p.m. on Saturday from July to Sept. and the Regional Worship Center in Sherburn has services at 10 a.m. Area residents are welcome to join any of these churches for services.

The Tuesday Coffee Hours will be from 8:30 to 10 a.m. each Tuesday morning in July at the Regional Worship Center in Sherburn. Join friends and neighbors for good coffee, treats and great fellowship.

Condolences to the family of MaryAnn Debus who passed away recently. She will be missed.

The Welcome Legion will meet at 7 p.m. on July 14. All members are urged to attend.

The CREST Lunch and Learn program will be held at 11 a.m. on July 16 at the First Lutheran Church in Trimont, followed by a lunch. These programs are educational, fun and free to senior citizens in Martin County. CREST would appreciate a free will donation for the lunch.

The American Red Cross blood drives will be at the St. John Vianney Catholic Church in Fairmont on July 21 and at the Regional Worship Center in Sherburn on Aug. 4, Grace Lutheran Church in Fairmont on Aug. 6 and at LiveFit Gym in Fairmont on Aug. 8. Plan to give the gift of life giving blood which is needed so much now. Summer is notoriously slow for blood drives and the need is great. Trimont FunFest is this weekend and the Welcome Summer Festival and city-wide garage sales in Welcome is next weekend, July 18-19. The Welcome High School All Class Reunion will be held at 3 p.m. on July 26 at the Fox Lake Event Center in Sherburn. Plan to attend these area events.
